Data Protection & Privacy — Formal Policy Document
bitjile Privacy
Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what personal data bitjile collects from players in Bangladesh, how that data is used, who it may be shared with, and how it is protected. We are committed to handling your information with care, transparency, and respect.
Our Privacy Commitments at a Glance
SSL Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and bitjile is protected by industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. This ensures that your personal details, payment information, and account credentials cannot be intercepted in transit.
Minimal Data Principle
bitjile only collects personal data that is genuinely necessary to operate your account, process payments, and meet our legal obligations. We do not collect data for speculative or unnecessary purposes.
No Unauthorised Selling
bitjile does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party marketers or data brokers. Your information is shared only where strictly required for service delivery, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Clear Retention Periods
We retain your data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. When your data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your Rights Respected
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data held by bitjile. We will respond to all valid privacy requests promptly and without unnecessary delay.
Bangladesh-Focused Compliance
This Privacy Policy is written specifically for players based in Bangladesh and reflects the data-handling standards appropriate for the Bangladeshi market, including localised payment method data (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay) and BST time-zone references.
1 Data We Collect
bitjile collects personal data from players in Bangladesh through several channels: directly from you when you register an account, when you make deposits or withdrawals, when you contact our support team, and automatically through the technical systems that operate the Platform. This section details every category of personal data we collect and the specific circumstances in which it is gathered.
Account Registration Data: When you create a bitjile account, we collect your full legal name, date of birth, residential address in Bangladesh (including district, division, and postal code), email address, and mobile phone number. This information is required to open your account and cannot be substituted with partial or inaccurate details.
Identity Verification Data: To comply with our Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations and to confirm that all players are aged 18 or above, we may request copies of identity documents. Acceptable documents include a Bangladesh National Identity Card (NID), a valid passport, or a driving licence issued by a competent Bangladeshi authority. Where a document contains a photograph, that biometric image is processed solely for identity confirmation purposes.
Financial & Payment Data: When you deposit or withdraw funds, we collect information related to the payment method used. For bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay transactions, this includes your registered mobile wallet number. For bank transfers via Dutch-Bangla Bank, BRAC Bank, City Bank, Islami Bank, or Sonali Bank, this includes account name and account number. For Visa and Mastercard transactions, we collect the card type, first six and last four digits of the card number, expiry date, and cardholder name. Full card numbers and CVV codes are never stored by bitjile — these are handled exclusively by our certified payment processing partners.
Transactional Data: We maintain a record of all deposits, withdrawals, bets placed, games played, bonus claims, and promotional activity associated with your account. This transactional history is linked to your account profile and used for account management, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
Device & Technical Data: When you access bitjile, our systems automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type (desktop, mobile, tablet), screen resolution, language preferences, time-zone setting, and referring URL. This data is used to optimise the Platform experience and to detect suspicious or fraudulent access patterns.
Communications Data: If you contact our customer support team — whether by email, live chat, or any other channel — we retain a record of that communication, including the content of your messages and the date and time of contact. This data is used to resolve your query and to improve the quality of our support services.
| Data Category | Examples | Primary Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identity Data | Full name, date of birth, NID/passport | Account registration, KYC, age verification |
| Contact Data | Email address, mobile number, residential address | Account communications, support, notifications |
| Financial Data | bKash/Nagad number, bank account details, card info | Payment processing, withdrawal verification |

2 How We Use Your Data
bitjile processes your personal data only where we have a lawful basis for doing so. The primary bases on which we rely are: the performance of the contract between you and bitjile (i.e., operating your account and delivering our services), our legitimate business interests (including fraud prevention and platform security), compliance with applicable legal obligations, and, where required, your explicit consent.
The following table summarises the specific purposes for which bitjile uses your personal data:
- Account Management: Creating, maintaining, and administering your bitjile player account, including processing your registration, verifying your identity, and managing account settings.
- Payment Processing: Facilitating deposits and withdrawals through your chosen payment method (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, bank transfer, Visa/Mastercard) and maintaining an accurate financial ledger for your account.
- Fraud Prevention & Security: Monitoring account activity for signs of fraudulent behaviour, money laundering, unauthorised access, and abuse of promotional offers. Automated systems and human review teams work together to protect both the Platform and individual players.
- Customer Support: Responding to your enquiries, resolving disputes, processing account closure or self-exclusion requests, and managing complaints.
- Responsible Gaming Compliance: Administering deposit limits, session reminders, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion arrangements where requested or required. Monitoring account behaviour for indicators of problem gambling in accordance with our Responsible Gaming Policy.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Meeting obligations under applicable anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and data protection requirements. Retaining records for the statutory periods mandated by law.
- Service Improvement: Analysing aggregated and anonymised usage data to improve game selection, platform performance, payment processing speeds, and the overall player experience.
- Marketing Communications: Sending you promotional information about bitjile offers, tournaments, seasonal events (such as BPL promotions, Eid bonuses, or Pohela Boishakh specials), and VIP Club updates — but only where you have consented to receive such communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@bitjile.
3 Data Sharing & Disclosure
bitjile does not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for their own commercial purposes. However, in order to operate the Platform effectively and comply with our legal obligations, we share your data with a limited set of trusted partners and authorities as described below.
- Payment Processing Partners: Your financial data is shared with the payment service providers that process your deposits and withdrawals. These include the operators of bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, and the card payment gateway handling Visa and Mastercard transactions. These providers are contractually bound to process your data only for the purpose of completing your transaction and to maintain appropriate data security standards.
- Identity Verification Services: Where we engage a third-party KYC or identity verification service to assist in confirming your identity and age, your submitted identity documents and personal details will be shared with that service provider. Such providers act under strict contractual data processing agreements.
- Game Software Providers: The game studios whose titles are available on bitjile (including but not limited to Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, NetEnt, Microgaming, Spribe, and Ezugi) may receive limited technical data — such as a pseudonymous player identifier and gameplay logs — in order to deliver and audit game outcomes. These providers do not receive your full identity data or payment details.
- Fraud Prevention & Security Services: We may share IP addresses, device fingerprint data, and transaction patterns with fraud detection and cybersecurity service providers to protect the Platform and its players against fraudulent activity, account takeover attempts, and money laundering.
- Legal Authorities: We will disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, or courts when we are legally obliged to do so, or when we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, protect the safety of individuals, or cooperate with an official investigation. bitjile will not voluntarily disclose player data to authorities beyond what is legally required.
- Business Transfers: In the event that bitjile undergoes a corporate restructuring, merger, or acquisition, player data may be transferred to the successor entity as part of that transaction. Players will be notified of any such transfer and of any material changes to this Privacy Policy that result from it.
4 Cookies & Tracking
bitjile uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enable core platform functionality, remember your preferences, maintain your session security, and analyse how the Platform is used. This section explains the types of cookies we use and how you can manage them.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot carry viruses. They allow the Platform to recognise your device on return visits and to maintain continuity across your browsing session.
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential Cookies | Maintain your login session, secure account authentication, and enable core Platform features. Cannot be disabled without breaking Platform functionality. | Session / up to 24 hours |
| Functional Cookies | Remember your language preference (English), game display settings, and last-visited page to improve your experience on return visits. | Up to 30 days |
| Analytics Cookies | Collect anonymised data about how players navigate the Platform — which pages are visited most, how long sessions last, and where players exit. Used solely for internal service improvement. | Up to 12 months |
| Security Cookies | Support fraud detection and bot prevention by capturing device and session fingerprint data. Help identify suspicious login patterns or automated access attempts. | Up to 7 days |
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies; however, disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the full functionality of bitjile. Instructions for managing cookies are available in the help documentation of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or Opera).
bitjile does not use cookies to serve third-party advertising networks or to build advertising profiles for external use. Analytics data collected via cookies is retained in aggregated, anonymised form and is not linked back to individual player identities.
5 Data Security
bitjile takes the security of your personal data seriously and employs a layered set of technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- Encryption in Transit: All data exchanged between your device and the bitjile servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol. This protects your login credentials, payment details, and personal information from interception during transmission.
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive personal data — including identity document images and financial account details — is stored in encrypted form within our database infrastructure. Encryption keys are managed separately from the encrypted data.
- Access Controls: Access to player personal data within bitjile's internal systems is granted on a strict need-to-know basis. Staff members who handle player data are subject to confidentiality agreements and receive regular training on data protection practices.
- Two-Factor Authentication: Administrative access to systems that store player data requires multi-factor authentication. Players are also encouraged to enable any additional security features available on their account to further protect against unauthorised access.
- Penetration Testing: bitjile periodically engages independent security specialists to conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of the Platform infrastructure. Identified vulnerabilities are remediated according to a risk-prioritised schedule.
- Incident Response: bitjile maintains a formal data breach response procedure. In the event of a security incident that poses a risk to player data, affected players will be notified without undue delay and provided with clear guidance on any steps they should take to protect themselves.
6 Data Retention
bitjile retains your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable legal and regulatory obligations. The following retention periods apply as a general guide:
- Active Account Data: Identity, contact, financial, and transactional data is retained for the full duration of your account with bitjile and for a minimum period of five (5) years following permanent account closure. This retention period reflects our obligations under anti-money laundering regulations and the need to retain records for potential dispute resolution.
- KYC & Identity Documents: Copies of identity documents submitted during the KYC process are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of submission or from the date of account closure, whichever is later.
- Payment Records: Financial transaction records, including deposit and withdrawal confirmations, are retained for a minimum of five (5) years to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
- Support Communications: Records of customer support interactions are retained for two (2) years from the date of the last communication in a given case.
- Marketing Consent Records: Where you have consented to receive marketing communications, a record of that consent is retained for the duration of your account and for one (1) year after consent is withdrawn, as evidence that communications were lawfully sent.
- Analytics Data: Anonymised and aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to any identifiable individual.
When personal data reaches the end of its applicable retention period, it is securely deleted from our live systems. Data held in backup systems is subject to our standard backup rotation schedule and will be overwritten or deleted in accordance with that schedule.
Where you request the deletion of your data before the expiry of a statutory retention period, bitjile will restrict processing of that data to the extent required by law and will delete it as soon as the statutory obligation no longer applies.
7 Your Privacy Rights
As a player based in Bangladesh using bitjile, you have a number of rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you. bitjile is committed to honouring these rights and will respond to all valid requests within a reasonable timeframe, ordinarily within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt.
- Right of Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that bitjile holds about you, along with information about how it is used and with whom it has been shared. We will provide this information free of charge for reasonable requests.
- Right to Rectification: If any of the personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct it without undue delay. For certain types of data (such as identity information), we may require you to submit supporting documentation before making changes.
- Right to Erasure: In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that bitjile delete your personal data. This right is subject to limitations where retention is required by law (for example, financial records subject to AML obligations) or where deletion would conflict with our legitimate interests in fraud prevention.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You may request that bitjile suspend the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances — for example, while a dispute about its accuracy is being resolved, or where you have objected to processing and we are assessing whether our legitimate interests override your objection.
- Right to Object to Marketing: You have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time. To opt out of marketing communications from bitjile, contact our support team at support@bitjile and we will action your request promptly.
- Right to Data Portability: Where technically feasible, you may request that we provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format so that you can transfer it to another service provider.
